Staff of over 50 artists, programmers, producers, designers, and sound engineers make everything in-house.
Responsibilities as Senior Technical Artist:
Shader Development: Responsible for developing and maintaining shaders, which are programs that define how light interacts with materials and surfaces in a virtual environment. This involves writing shader code, optimizing performance, and ensuring the desired visual effects are achieved.
Lighting Design: Work closely with the art and design teams to create compelling and visually appealing lighting setups. This includes defining the placement, intensity, color, and other properties of light sources within a scene to enhance the mood, atmosphere, and overall aesthetics.
Collaboration and Communication: Game development is a team effort, and effective communication and collaboration are essential. You would work closely with other programmers, artists, designers, and producers to understand requirements, provide technical solutions, and integrate various game components.
Performance Optimization: Unreal Engine provides a range of profiling and optimization tools, and it’s the programmer’s responsibility to identify and address performance bottlenecks. This includes optimizing code, reducing memory usage, improving rendering performance, and ensuring smooth frame rates.
Unreal Engine Updates and Best Practices: As an Unreal Engine specialist, I stay up to date with the latest features, updates, and best practices within Unreal Engine’s animation system. Research and experiment with new techniques and tools to improve animation quality and efficiency.
