Who is responsible

Diego Balarezo, an individual, in Lima, Peru. I decide what data is stored and why. Reach me through the contact page.

What I keep and why

The /diagnostico test (Spanish only). Answers are computed in your browser. At the end I ask for your email to show the result, with a consent checkbox you have to tick yourself. If you do, the site database stores:

• your email;
• the test result (suggested role, level, region, years of experience, English level and work situation);
• whether you consented and which version of the checkbox text you saw;
• the date, and a hash of your IP (not the IP itself) to limit repeated submissions.

I use the email for two things: making the test work and, as the checkbox says, writing to you now and then about getting into the games industry. The page sends no automatic email.

Games (/games). Your progress, volume, language and nickname are kept in your own browser (local storage), not on my server. If you submit a score to the global ranking, the nickname you choose, the score, the date and a hash of your IP (to limit bursts) are stored. Do not use your real name as a nickname. Multiplayer rooms have no accounts.

Emails you send me. If you write to me I keep it in my inbox while it is useful to reply. There is no contact form on the site, so nothing else is stored.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses no tracking, advertising or first-party analytics cookies. WordPress only sets cookies for whoever logs into the admin, which is me. Fonts and icons are served from the site itself. YouTube videos load only when you click them, and YouTube's own rules apply from there.

Who else touches the data

The site is hosted on Hostinger and sits behind Cloudflare (which speeds it up and protects it, so it sees visits like any delivery network). The ranking and the rooms run on Cloudflare Workers. These providers may have servers outside Peru, so your data may be processed in another country. I do not sell or hand data to anyone for advertising.

How long I keep it

There is no automatic deletion. I keep your email while I keep writing to you or until you ask me to delete it; what you ask me to delete, I delete. Ranking scores stay until you ask me to remove your nickname.

Your rights

Under Peru's Personal Data Protection Law (Law 29733) and its regulations, you can ask for access, rectification, cancellation (deletion) or objection (the ARCO rights), and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to me through the contact page with the email you used in the test or your ranking nickname so I can find your data. I answer within the deadlines set by law. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to Peru's National Authority for Personal Data Protection (Ministry of Justice).

Minors

If you are under 14 you need the authorization of a parent or guardian to leave your email. If I receive a minor's email without it, I delete it.

Changes

If what I store changes, I update this page and the date below. If the test checkbox text changes, the version each person accepted stays on record.
